Free Drive-Up COVID-19 Testing For Amherst Residents With Symptoms To Be Held On Friday, December 18

The Town of Amherst will provide free testing for Amherst residents and municipal employees who are excluded from the UMass-Amherst asymptomatic testing site. The drive-up testing location will be at the Mill River Recreation Area, an will operate this Friday, December 18, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

This new testing option is offered in response to the increase of COVID-19 in Amherst. There are 150 slots available, and pre-registration is required.  (Registration link is below.) The drive-up testing is for symptomatic residents and Town employees, close contacts as well as for Amherst residents/employees who need testing to be released from quarantine. 

Quick Facts About Friday’s Testing

Who May Get Tested -Town of Amherst residents of all ages, and Town employees who require testing, but are excluded from it at the UMass-Amherst asymptomatic site, including:  

*Symptomatic individuals (If you feel like you may have COVID-19) 

*Close contacts of those with COVID-19, or individuals who need testing to be released from quarantine. 

When:  Friday, Dec. 18  from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
