Council Issues Citation Recognizing UMass Hockey Champions

WHEREAS, sports bring communities together and help us develop and strengthen social bonds; and

WHEREAS, the team members, coaches, and support staff of UMass Hockey have shown dedication and devotion to their sport and their team throughout their incredible season; and

WHEREAS, our community takes great pride in the significant accomplishments of UMass Hockey this season; and

WHEREAS, we acknowledge the historic significance of UMass Hockey’s championship victory for the team, UMass, and for our town.

NOW, THEREFORE, we the Amherst Town Council do hereby recognize and congratulate the 2021 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Champions,

AND FURTHER, we instruct the Clerk of the Amherst Town Council to send copies of this citation to UMass Hockey Head Coach Greg Carvel and UMass Chancellor Kumble Subbaswamy.
