UMass is offering COVID-19 vaccines for children ages 5 to 11 on Fridays from 2:30 to 5 by appointment on the lower level of the Campus Center. There will be clinics held on November 12 and 19 for first doses and December 3 and 10 for second doses. The vaccines are available without cost to all children who live or go to school in Massachusetts. Appointments will be available soon and can be made at https://uma.force.com/covidtesting/s/vaccination.

In addition, UMass is continuing to hold its vaccine clinics for those ages 12 and older on Wednesdays 11:30 to 2, Thursdays 1 to 5, and Fridays 10 to 2. These clinics are open to the general public by appointment. Third doses of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and second doses of Johnson & Johnson will be offered to eligible residents. There will be no clinics held on November 11 (Veteran’s Day) and the week of Thanksgiving.

Asymptomatic testing is still being offered. Kits are available at the Campus Center, the Bangs Center, and the Jones Library. There are drop off boxes for completed self-administered tests at the Bangs Center and on campus. Results are available in 24 to 36 hours.

The town is holding COVID-19 vaccine clinics at the Bangs Center on Thursdays from 3 to 6, except November 11. Appointments can be made at https://home.color.com/vaccine/register/townofamherst?calendar=1647d54b-9340-4d5b-865f-e8c15dedb323.  The Department of Public Health estimates that 91% of eligible Amherst residents have had at least one dose.
