Town Lists 26 Vacancies On Town Committees And Boards.

As of October 17 there were 26 vacancies on town committees and boards. They are listed in the table below. There appears to be a single opening for an Associate member on the Zoning Board of Appeals that is not listed in the table. That opening was a matter of controversy when the council refused to appoint John Varner to that position and instead chose to leave the position open. (see also here and here). Some of these vacancies, such as those on the Agriculture Commission, The Board of Health and the Transportation Advisory Committee have gone unfilled for several months.
Residents can apply to serve on any town committee by filling out a Community Activity Form.
