A number of Area Gospel Choirs will perform at the Grace Episcopal Church, 14 Boltwood Avenue on Tuesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. to benefit the A Better Chance Program of Amherst (ABC).The program for the evening includes performances by the Amherst Area Gospel Choir, The Amherst Regional High School Chorale, The Hampshire Young People’s Chorus, and the UMass Gospel Choir. A $20 donation is appreciated, but all who wish to celebrate the ABC program through gospel music are welcome.
Light refreshments will be served in the room adjacent to the Grace Church Sanctuary prior to the concert, and attendees will have the opportunity to meet and congratulate ABC’s 2023 local hero, former resident director and current Amherst Regional High School Principal Talib Sadiq. Concert-goers will also have a chance to visit with current ABC scholars and resident directors Nancita Alejandro and Tem Blessed.
