Letter: Appoint Internal Candidate As Interim Principal At ARMS

The following letter was sent to School Superintendent Michael Morris, Assistant Superintendent Doreen Cunningham, and the Amherst School Committee on April 13, 2023.
As a representative leadership group at Amherst Regional Middle School, the Curriculum Leaders recommend that, for the stability of our school, the internal candidate (who is a person of color) from the recent principal search be appointed as interim principal for one year. This will give us the opportunity to conduct a comprehensive and widespread search for a permanent principal beginning in late 2023. Thank you.
