The newly reconstituted committees of the Town Council began meeting this month, and each elected new chairs and vice chairs for 2024.

Community Resources Committee: Pam Rooney (District 4) and Jennifer Taub (District 4) were elected chair and vice chair of the Community Resources Committee. Other members of the committee are Mandi Jo Hanneke (at large), Ndifreke Ette (District 1), and Pat DeAngelis (District 2).

Finance Committee: Bob Hegner (District 5) replaces Andy Steinberg (at large) who has served as chair since the council’s inception five years ago. Nonvoting member Matt Holloway was nominated for vice chair, which Clerk of Council Athena O’Keeffe confirmed was allowed under the Town Charter. However, Cathy Schoen (District 1) was re-elected as vice chair, a position she has held throughout the council’s existence. Other members of the committee are Hanneke, Steinberg, and Ellisha Walker (at large). Nonvoting members are Holloway and Bernie Kubiac. With Hegner’s election to the council, there is a vacancy for a third nonvoting member.

The Governance, Organization, and Legislation Committee (GOL) elected new leadership. Ana Devlin Gauthier (District 5) will be chair, and Ette will be vice chair. Other members of the committee are DeAngelis, Lynn Griesemer (District 2), and George Ryan (District 3).

The Town Services and Outreach Committee (TSO) first meets on Thursday, February 1 at 10 a.m. Members are Hegner, Ryan, Steinberg, Taub, and Hala Lord (District 3).
