To many of the folks in attendance, it felt like a Town Meeting revival with the Middle School auditorium packed, nearly to capacity, as people waited to give public comment prior to the Town Council’s vote on a Resolution for a Ceasefire in Gaza. Eighty people offered public comment and the allotted two hours needed to be extended by an hour to accommodate everyone. The council then spent another two hours deliberating the resolution and after a tangled and circuitous route, adopted the resolution by a vote of 9-3-1. The final resolution can be read here.

Prior to the council meeting, about 200 people gathered outside of the Middle School for a rally in support of the resolution.
