The Town of Amherst seeks the public’s guidance as it explores the development of a new town shelter and housing facility. The town has secured a property and is working with an architect with ideas and support from stakeholders and the community.

A public forum will be held on Monday, June 10 at 7 p.m. in the Town Room on the second floor of Town Hall, 4 Boltwood Avenue. Remote meeting access is to be determined. Check: www.amherstma.gov/housingtrust for updates.

Questions to Be Considered
1. What services are most vital?
2. What are the keys to viability and sustainability?
3. How might we design for welcome, safety and empowerment?
