Amherst College Men’s Soccer Wins NCAA Division III Championship

The #8 seeded Amherst College men’s soccer team won the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship on December 7 at Peter Johann Memorial Field at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, defeating Connecticut College 4-3 on penalty kicks. After the score remained 0-0 after 90 minutes and then double overtime, the Mammoths prevailed in the penalty shootout. It was the fourth final in the last five years for Amherst and a rematch with Connecticut College of the 2021 final. It is the program’s second national title, and the first since 2015.
