A significant milestone in the construction of the new Fort River Elementary School building has been reached, as the structural steel is now being erected, bringing the town one step closer to seeing the vision for the new school become a reality.

Construction kicked off in February with crucial earthwork and the installation of the building’s foundation. The anticipates celebrating the completion of steel erection in May 2025 with a “topping off” ceremony.

The schedule for school occupancy remains on track, with plans for the new elementary school to open in the fall of 2026. Stay tuned for future project updates!
