Town Council To Hold Public Hearing On New Design For North Common

There will be a Public Hearing on proposed designs for the North Common Revitalization Project at the start of the Town Council Meeting on Monday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place on Zoom, and can be joined here.
Information about the proposed designs can be found on the Engage Amherst website. Although the Council voted 8-5 on March 22 and chose the design that eliminates all parking on the North Common, instead of a design that would keep 22 of the 40 parking spaces, they did not hold the required Public Hearing prior to the vote. After the Public Hearing, the Council must revote on the designs.
