Are you an Amherst resident who is over the age of 18 and has 10 minutes to answer a survey? The Initiative for Digital Public Infrastructure (iDPI) and the HCI-VIS lab at UMass Amherst are working with the Town of Amherst, looking for residents to fill out a survey about local civic engagement. We hope that the survey may help the Town of Amherst, local newspapers, and other local civic organizations tailor their outreach and engagement projects to reach a wider and more diverse audience, more effectively. Topics include: your sources for local information, barriers to participation in civic life, and feedback on the tTown’s engagement efforts.

If you are interested, please go to this link to complete the survey. Paper versions of the survey are available on request.

If you have questions about this project or if you have a research-related problem, you may contact Chand Rajendra-Nicolucci, iDPI Research Fellow, at crajendranic@umass.edu.”
