In response to almost three months of dry weather conditions, Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) Secretary Bethany A. Card announced on July 21 that the Connecticut River Valley is in a Level 2-Significant Drought. In response to this declaration, the Town has assessed its water supply, and due to recently bringing one groundwater well back on line and improvements to another well, the town currently has a stable water supply. Therefore, the town is not issuing water use restrictions at this time. However, the town always encourages residents to be mindful regarding water use and follow the water conservation tips provided on the town’s  Water Supply Status webpage found here.
