Dear Reader:

Greetings from West Texas.  This week’s Indy comes to you from Big Bend National Park, where there are apparently, currently, only five active internet locations in a place bigger than Rhode Island. This has limited our internet communication with our writers and editors to a small window in the AM and PM and consequently, as we predicted last week, this issue of the Indy is smaller than usual. But we have a backlog of submissions to post and once we have more reliable internet access (beginning Monday 9/16) we’ll be posting new content and catching up.

And we are not really complaining about lack of internet.  This place is stunning and so minimal internet means more time on the trails.

We’re still hoping that folks will send us pix from the upcoming town block party on Thursday 9/19. Please remember to include a caption and photo credit for each photo that you send to amherstindy@gmail.com.

Thanks for your patience and thanks for reading the Indy.
