This week, we present a collection of photos of the Auroa Boealis (Northern Lights) as they appeared in the Pioneer Valley on the night of October 10 and 11. For explanation of why we can see the Northern Lights in the Pioneer Valley look here, here, and here.

  1. Wow!!!!! Thanks for sharing these spectacular photos.

    So sorry to have been too far to the southwest to see this with my naked eyes!

    Were they as bright as the photos suggest, or are these “long exposures?
