Affordable Housing Forum, Thursday, January 23

The Town of Amherst and the League of Women Voters of Amherst are sponsoring a forum on “Building Homes and Breaking Barriers: Constructing Affordable Housing in Amherst.” The forum will take place at Town Hall on Thursday, January 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. Zoom participation is available at this link: https://amherstma.zoom.us/j/83686070098

The forum will consist of a panel discussion followed by a question and answer period facilitated by State Representative Mindy Domb. Panelists are:

Gaston de los Reyes, Chair Amherst Affordable Housing Trust

Allegra Clark, Amherst Affordable Housing Trust and Co-Chair of the Amherst Community            Safety and Social Justice Committee

Laura Baker, Real Estate Manager, Valley Community Development Corporation

Tom Kegelman, Executive Director Home City Housing

Keith Fairey, President and Executive Director, Wayfinders

John Hornik, former Chair, Amherst Affordable Housing Trust

The panel of experts will address what is happening now, what needs to happen to meet unmet needs, and what actions individuals can take to support the development of affordable housing.
