Sign Up Deadline For the Annual Amherst Rubbish Roundup, March 30

The Town of Amherst will host it’s annual Amherst Rubbish Roundup on Sunday, April 6 from Noon to 2:00 p.m. This community cleanup event aims to bring residents together to beautify our beloved town.  

All town residents and groups are invited to participate, including community organizations, businesses, families, neighborhood associations, student clubs, religious communities, and any small groups or individuals eager to connect with their neighbors. Together, volunteers can make Amherst cleaner, greener, and even more beautiful than it already is. 

Participants are asked to sign up by Sunday, March 30 at amherstma.gov/RubbishRoundup2025

Volunteers will report to cleanup sites throughout Amherst including Mill River Recreation Area in North Amherst, Town Hall/North Common in Central Amherst, Groff Park in South Amherst, and any other areas suggested through the sign-up form.  

Each site will be staffed by a team of captains with supplies, safety instructions, and assignments. Supplies will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own work gloves and eye protection (safety glasses or sunglasses). Additionally, please remember to bring water, wear closed toe shoes, and apply sun protection for comfort and safety.
