Earth Day Extravaganza at UMass, Friday April 25

The public is invited to an Earth Day Extravaganza, happening Friday, April 25, 2025, from 12–4 p.m. on Goodell Lawn at UMass Amherst. This event is a celebration of sustainability, earth repair, and community engagement – organized by UMass Permaculture, Sustainable UMass, the Student Government Association, and MassPIRG.

The extravaganza will feature the Student Farmers’ Market, a thrift village, a smoothie bike, collaborative art, and more. This year’s event will also offer ways for attendees to participate in environmental advocacy. There will be:

• Educational opportunities about current environmental legislation in Massachusetts
• Petitions for urgent environmental initiatives
• Information on how to get involved in local and statewide campaigns

We aim to create not just a celebration, but an opportunity for the community to take action for the planet.
